January 2009 Issue

NetWords Issue #3
At the start of a new year, it' a great time to reset our writing resolutions. A daily word or page-count, or a blocked out time and place to write every day - are the best intentions, but after a few days or weeks our will begins to waver. Or worse, the dreaded writer's block sets in. Wait too long and that block can become a wall.

Here are some sites with exercises and ideas to kickstart your new year and get you back on track. Make it your resolution to commit to one small thing: Visit one of these sites, pick an exercise, and do it!

[Still stuck? Why not write an entry for the Postcard Fiction contest (below)? The entry fee is only $5, it's a mere 250 words and the prize is $500. You've got nothing to lose!]
