"The Joy of Writing, a Writer's Workshop" for those who want to write
Starting Tuesday September 8, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Bobcaygeon, ON
The sessions will be held the second and forth Tuesday of each month and will guide would-be writers to write their; memoirs, anecdotes, poetry, fiction, historic events, to-do books, family happenings with photo albums, love stories, plays, murder mysteries, and whatever else may be of interest. Classes will feature Guest Speakers from time to time. The goal of this group is to encourage, with guidance, those who wish to write.
Cost: $30 for the season, September to July

Halton Peel Communicators' Association presents A Speed Networking Event
Thursday, September 17, 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Words Alive Literary Festival 2009

Words Alive celebrates a rich literary heritage and provides a showcase for local and Canada-wide authors. One day of author readings, public readings, workshops, panel discussions and storytelling including poetry with music and art will allow you to travel with new voices to different lands and have the opportunity to become a part of their human experience.

Kingston WritersFest Hosts Four Days of Literary Readings, Book Panels, Onstage Interviews and Master Classes for Writers
September 23 to 26
See Margaret Atwood, Joseph Boyden, Michael Crummey, Anne Michaels, Mark Sinnett and Erika Ritter, along with some 20 other writers for the fourth annual Kingston WritersFest. There will also be master classes for both seasoned and emerging writers on writing humour and memoirs, writing for children, and self-publishing.

Wordstock 2009: Journalism Tools in the New Universe
